Views offer the ability to define and save how the data from a Quality Window template is arranged and ordered before presenting it to QW 5.0


Application Layout Preview

This section of the screen contains the variables which have been chosen to for the current view


Double clicking in a variable displays the Variable Information screen.


Variables to Select From

This section of the screen contains the variables in the currently opened Quality Window template.


Statistics

The Statistics listed depend on the currently highlighted variable type.


Order

The sequence that the variable in the Application Layout Preview portion of the screen can be changed by highlighting a variable and clicking on the left arrow to move the varible left, or the right arrow to move the variable right.


Add

To add a variable from the Variables to Select From to the Application Layout Preview press the Add button.


Delete

To remove a variable from the Application Layout Preview highlight the variable and press the Add button.


Replace

To replace a variable in the Application Layout Preview highlight the variable in the Application Layout Preview and then select the variable to replace it  from the Variables to Select From list and press the Replace button.


If the name of the variable is already present in the Application Layout Preview the following dialogue will appear.

Enter a unique variable name and click OK.



Clear

Clicking the Clear button removes all variable except Date and Time from the Application Layout Preview portion of the screen.


Summarize By

Summarize By dropdown list allows the grouping and totaling by time intervals or by variable.


Time Interval


If Specific Interval is selected the time interval selection box becomes available.

To change or set an interval highlight the hours, minutes or seconds and either type in the corresponding number or click the up or down arrows.


Include Null Intervals

Click this box to display intervals for which no values have been entered.


Include Null Pivots

Click this box to display pivots for which no values have been entered.


Pivot On

Pivot On is used to allow an alternate look at the data


Defaults

Clicking Defaults restores the settings to what they would be if New was clicked on the Views tab.


Record Selection

Record selection can be by number of records or by date range


From Selection


To Selection


Date Selection

To change the date in the currently selected month and year, click on the date.


To change the month, click on the left or right arrows.


The change the year click on the year and click the up or down year.


Once the date has been selected, click OK.



Forward / Back



Data Filtering


The records selected can be be constrained based on data values using the Filtering screen.


Value

Select the variable value or enter a ? to have the user prompted for a value when the view is run.


Example:


Filter Batch Number  > =  ?  will prompt the user to enter a Batch Number


Filter Batch Number  < =  ?  will prompt the user to enter another Batch Number


Options

The Views / Options screen is used to define the beginning of shift, weeks and years.


Shifts are

The Shift duration is entered here.


Day Begins

The +/- offset for the first shift of the day (relative to midnight) is selected here.


Example: If the first shift starts at 11PM the offset would be -1 hour.


Week Begins

Select the day of the week that marks the start of the work week.


Year Begins


Select the month of the year that marks the start of the work year.


Screen to go to after loading View

Select the screen to be displayed when the current View is Run.


Report


Report Header / Footer

What appears as the report header and footer can be set by clicking on Insert and selecting from the list of available parameters.



Report Type

The orientation of the report can be either Across the Top or Down the Side


Report Options

Include Detail Records

Placing a checkmark here will display the individual data points.


Leaving this option balnk, or removing the checkmark, will display a summary report.



Include Statistics

If this option is checkmarked the list of currently active statistics will be displayed.


If Include Statistics is checkmarked and Variables Down Side Report Type is chosen the statistics will be shown at the extreme right of the report. if Screen to go to after loading View is set to Report.


If Include Statistics is checkmarked and Variables Across Top Report Type is chosen the statistics will be shown at the bottom of the report. if Screen to go to after loading View is set to Report.



Include Filter Parameters

To display the Filtering parameters at the top of the report place a checkmark here.



Include Chartable Variables Only

Placing a checkmark here will display only Numeric, Calculated, Average and Range variable types.


Leaving this option blank, or removing the checkmark, will display all template variables.



Include Column Headers

Select this option to display column headers on the report.



Report Statistics

The statistics that appear on a report can be turned on or off by clicking inside the box to the right of the statistic or by clicking on the statistic.


The order in which the selected statistics appear on the report can also be changed by selecting the statistic and clicking on the up or down arrow to the right of the statistics box.


To select all statistics click on All.


To select no statistics click on None.


Save

The order in which Views are displayed can be set by selecting a View and clicking the up or down arrow found to the right of the list of Views.


Delete View

To delete a View select the View from the list of Views and click the Delete View button


Save View

To save a View enter a meaningful filename in the Save View as ... box and click on Save View.


Save View as ...

The View title which will be displayed on the Views menu. All view files are made up of the templatefilename with a extension of V##.


Example: Monitor.V5
