SPC statistics your team can trust
Turn collected measurements into clear signals. Quality Window combines 65+ built-in SPC statistics with QW StatSense, which highlights the numbers that deserve attention so issues surface sooner.
Why manufacturers choose Quality Window statistics
- Proven on the floor for nearly 40 years
- Clear, consistent definitions across every chart
- Stats update instantly as you filter or drill into data
- Designed for operators, trusted by engineers, easy to explain to managers
QW StatSense
Let the right statistics find you. QW StatSense scans live data and highlights meaningful changesโlike increasing variation, a dropping Cpk, or results moving closer to specification limitsโso teams can respond before defects and waste increase. Callouts appear directly in the Stats Box with a short explanation, so everyone knows where to focus first.
What you get out of the box
Basics
AVG, Median, Min/Max, N, Sum, Standard Deviation (population and moving-range), %CV
Limits and targets
UCL/LCL, UWL/LWL, USL/LSL, Target and Target Deviation shown directly on charts
Capability and performance
Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk plus quick performance markers at Avg ยฑ3Sโโโ and ยฑ4Sโโโ for context
Observed and calculated results
Observed counts, percent, ppm from your data, plus model-based estimates for planning when a normal model is appropriate
Range and moving-range
MR Average, short-term sigma (S-mr), and range thresholds that help catch short-term spikes in variation.
Popular stats
โข UCL/LCL and UWL/LWL for immediate control and early warning
โข USL/LSL for simple pass/fail against customer specs
โข Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk for capability and long-term performance
โข Oppm and OppmUCI for small-sample confidence
โข S-mr for shift-to-shift variation
What makes it different
- Statistics stay beside the chart: The Stats Box keeps capability and performance metrics visible where work happens, not buried in reports or menus.
- Built for real production data: Filter, drill in, or change views and statistics update instantly without reconfiguration.
- Capability without complexity: Cp, Cpk, Pp, and Ppk stay tied to the data you are viewing, so engineers get trustworthy numbers without extra setup.
- Designed for the floor: Operators see clear signals, engineers see consistent definitions, and leaders see the same numbers everyone else is using.
One set of statistics. Every role aligned.
Operators
See the right numbers beside the chart you are monitoring. QW StatSense highlights what needs attention, and tooltips explain why.
Process engineers
Rely on consistent definitions applied across every view. Statistics update instantly as you filter, so root-cause investigation moves faster and capability issues surface sooner.
Quality leaders
Establish a common language across lines, shifts, and sites. The same statistics and thresholds drive consistent conversations and decisions.
Common questions
How many statistics are included?
More than 65 built-in statistics and markers across basics, limits and targets, capability and performance, observed and calculated, and range and moving-range. See our Statistics reference guide for details.
Do I need to configure QW StatSense?
No. QW StatSense works out of the box. Administrators can optionally choose which statistics are eligible for highlighting and control their display order so teams see the most relevant numbers first.
Do you support capability indices?
Yes. Cp and Cpk for short-term capability, Pp and Ppk for long-term performance, plus performance markers at Avg ยฑ3Sโโโ and ยฑ4Sโโโ.
Are the statistics consistent across views?
Yes. Definitions are applied consistently across charts, and the Stats Box shows the same values wherever you work. Every Quality Window build goes through a documented validation cycle, and validation reports are published for each build.
